As a pharmaceutical company in Indonesia, Kimia Farma certainly focuses on solving various health problems in Indonesia, which is an island nation. Then, how does Kimia Farma contribute to solving problems in coastal areas?
The provision of health services and various information on clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS) is the focus of the Floating Clinic program, which is a form of cooperation between Kimia Farma and on of the zakat institutions to deal with health problems on the coast.
The Floating Clinic aims to improve public health by reaching out to marginalized communities in coastal areas. One of them is in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The program, which has been running since 2019, has received positive testimonials from the people of West Lombok.
But what makes the Floating Clinic program successful? Are there any indicators?
Of course, positive testimonials are not enough to be used as an indicator of the program's success. There is a need for relevant measurements related to the impact of the program on the beneficiary community. One method that can be used is the Social Return on Investment (SROI) and the Community Satisfaction Index (SMI).
The Community Satisfaction Index (IKM) is data and information on the results of opinions and assessments of benefit acceptance for the company's performance in organizing corporate social responsibility programs (TJSL).
Social Return On Investment (SROI) is an interval and measurement framework associated with the social, economic, and environmental value of a program or activity of an organization of institution.
To determine the success rate of the Floating Clinic program and its impact on the community, Kimia Farma measured the Social Return on Investment (SROI) and the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM). The results of these measurements can be used as evaluation material in future program development.
In its measurement, Kimia Farma collaborated with Olahkarsa to calculate the Social Return On Investment (SROI) and Community Satisfaction Index (SMI) of the Floating Clinic program in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
