Jakarta, November 3rd, 2022 - Coinciding with the Commemoration of National Health Day (HKN) 58th Indonesia, PT Kimia Farma Tbk signed purchase agreement Domestic Raw Materials (BBO). The signing ceremony was attented by Mr Muhadjir Effendy as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Indonesian Culture and witnessed directly by the Indonesian Minister of Health at ICE BSD, Thursday (03/11/2022).
The signing of this cooperation agreement is a form of PT Kimia Farma's Tbk commitment in optimizing the use of locally produced raw materials with the aim of national health independence according to the theme of the 2022 HKN, namely Proud Domestic Health Technology and Innovation to Support System Transformation Health.
PT Kimia Farma Tbk cooperates with its subsidiary, namely PT Kimia Farma Sungwun Pharmacopia (KFSP) to purchase Drug Raw Materials (BBO), with the aim of meeting the company's BBO needs. KFSP will be a party BBO producer, which has fulfilled the certificate of Manufacturing Method of Active Drug Raw Materials Good from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) RI. In this agreement PT Kimia Farma Tbk is committed to using 3 (three) BBO items from KFSP, namely Atorvastatin, Clopidogel, and Entecavir and will continue to use Other BBO products from KFSP.
With the commitment of PT Kimia Farma Tbk as one of the leading pharmaceutical industry players, using local medicinal raw materials, is expected to support the Government's program to substitute imported raw materials into local raw materials. Besides Kimia Farma will continue to support the pharmacy and medical device independence program from Government, in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 6 of 2016 concerning Acceleration of the Development of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry.
